U.S. Secures Syrian Border

The U.S. has been working to secure the Syrian border, which has led to many Foreign Fighters entering into Iraq, in addition to money and weapons for the Sunni party. The Syrian government is claiming that we are attacking individuals now and begging for Iraq not to compromise. Link

Military Report – No. 2 Al Qaeda Leader Dies

A number leader of the Al Qaeda organization was supposedly killed after a raid by U.S. troops in the northern city of Mosul in Iraq. Abu Qaswarah, a charismatic leader, was a Moroccan trained in Afghanistan, and a leader on many fronts for the terrorist organization. This should cause some setbacks, especially in the Northern province of Iraq for the organization. Link

New Pact May Put U.S. Troops Under Iraqi Trial

A new pact that is being hammered out, might give authority to put U.S. troops on trial for crimes committed while not on missions or on U.S. bases. It would also give Iraq control of parts of Baghdad where the U.S. embassy lies. More
